About
Annie Watkins
Whilst my training focussed mainly on the humanistic theory of Carl Rogers, the Person-Centred approach (also known as Client-Centred), my practice aims to utilise other theories that also informed my training.
My belief is that there is no such thing as a 'one-size-fits-all' approach to therapy, but with my client at the centre of my practice, we are able to work out what works best, together.
Over the years it has become increasingly more evident to me that we all require a safe arena in which to identify and explore thoughts and feelings, sometimes unknown, sometimes unbearable to articulate or admit to, allowing our vulnerabilities to become strengths, working toward those unspoken feelings of stress and anxiety becoming manageable and less controlling - I feel that my practice offers this.
